Weg mit dem Dreck:
Zitat: |
AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM JAMES BOND ACTOR DANIEL CRAIG, TO ALL UNHAPPY JAMES BOND FANS:
"SCREW EM!"
March 13, 2006
Dear Friend,
If you are in receipt of this email, it means we had your address on file with the CraigNotBond.com website, or the Boycott Casino Royale James Bond petition. If in either case this was a mistake, please let us know and we will happily remove your address from this listserv.
We are writing today to thank you for your support of the Casino Royale Boycott.
To date, CraigNotBond.com has received nearly 1.4 million visits, and you are among more than 25,000 Bond fans who have either signed the boycott petition or sent an email to Sony Pictures. The boycott has been a major blow to the efforts of Sony and EON to restart the Bond franchise with a bargain-basement tough guy actor so as to turn Bond into a combination of Rambo, Die Hard and The Transporter.
The recent media blitz on the part of the Bond producers is the strongest evidence that they are deeply concerned about our movement. The good news is that the more they show Daniel Craig to the public, the more people can see he resembles nothing of what you would expect from an actor suited to be 007.
In reference to the aforementioned interview, not only did Craig try to defend his worthiness to play Bond, he also had something to say about Bond fans like you and I who have rightfully expressed our dismay that he was chosen to play 007. In an interview recorded only days ago for the American syndicated entertainment program Extra, Daniel Craig was asked how he handled the reaction from Bond fans who were less than satisfied that he was the new 007. Heres what he had to say:
Extra Reporter Tanika Ray: Theres a lot of people who are Bond freaks who are like I dont know about this Daniel Craig.
Daniel Craig: "We're making a movie, and I think we're making a really good movie. When it comes out, if they still feel the same way then, you know, screw them!"
As the creators of a website that has no doubt taken some potshots at Mr. Craig for being the wrong man for Bond, we can understand his reaction if it were directed to us alone.
What Mr. Craig did not realize is that the body of fans unhappy with him encompasses tens of thousands, if not millions of people who in no fashion deserve to be regarded that way. How could anyone with any amount of class or judgment level such a base remark at the many unhappy Bond fans who are mothers, wives, sisters, aunts, grandparents and children?
Could we ever expect such a course statement from the likes of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton or Pierce Brosnan? Absolutely not!
This act of bad character on the part of Mr. Craig, although offensive, represents an opportunity on our part as proponents of this boycott to further our cause and expand our base of support. If you are willing to take a short five minutes of your time, you can help us to expose Craig for the graceless fellow he truly is.
As we did for the letters to Sony executives, we have provided a sample letter of complaint about Mr. Craigs brusque remarks to Bonds fans like us. Following immediately below are a list of key press contacts for major news outlets throughout the US and the world. We have also provided links for you to look up the emails for local newspapers, radio and TV stations, listed by US state or city and by country.
We are asking all boycott supporters to write an email as suggested below, and copy it to your local press if possible, and to all of the major news outlets provided. If you are offended as we are about the course comments offered to you by Daniel Craig, the brief time you take send such emails will allow our burgeoning boycott of Casino Royale to grow by leaps and bounds!

Sample Letter to the Media
Dear Editor,
In a recent television interview, James Bond actor Daniel Craig was asked what he thought of the many life-long James Bond fans that were less than satisfied when he was chosen to play the role of 007. His two word reply was simply this: Screw them.
I wish to make it known to you and your readers that I found Mr. Craigs remarks particularly tasteless and offensive; and they are a clear sign of the mans poor judgment as an actor in the public eye. Does he not realize that loyal James Bond fans have every right to be dissatisfied with the choices producers make, particularly where it applies to the actor they choose for a role like 007? What is most contemptible about his brusque remarks is that he wrongfully directed them towards so many fans who are mothers, wives, grandparents and children.
In conclusion, I would like to say that any feeling I had about Mr. Craig or about boycotting his first turn as James Bond are now doubly strong; and I am that much more committed to the grass roots efforts to see that Casino Royale is a box office failure. I urge anyone reading this letter who values common decency to join me in this boycott.
Faithfully Yours,

BREAKING NEWS FROM CRAIGNOTBOND.COM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: April 9, 2006 Contact: Deanna Brayton Email: SEXYKITN38@aol.com Alternate Contact: Press@CraigNotBond.com New 007 Daniel Craig Calls The War On Drugs Hypocritical; Says Illicit Drugs Should Be Legal
http://www.craignotbond.com/news/index_200600409_craig_wants_drugs_legalized.html CraigNotBond News
April 9, 2006
In a recent interview, Daniel Craig -- the latest man chosen to play Britains most famous undercover lawman 007-- had some cynical things to say about legitimate law enforcements efforts against illegal drugs. Craig even states that such drugs should not be illegal.
Q: Do you think it's absurd that drugs are illegal?
DANIEL: I do, I think we kid ourselves that people
that governments
don't make huge amounts of money
it's good hard cash. And it's untraceable, that's what people use drugs for, you've got a huge amount of cash and no one knows about it. And we kid ourselves about the fact that people don't still use them. And more money can be made off them if they are illegal. The whole system is hypocritical. I think (the problem) should be addressed in much more intelligent way, but it won't happen till people stop using them for their own good.
Craignotbond.com spokesperson Deanna Brayton had this to say about Craigs remarks on drugs, It continues to stun lifelong Bond fans that EON Productions has chosen a man with such lawless views on law and order to play 007. We guess that Craig is not aware of the millions of lives destroyed by illegal drugs; nor has he heard about all the members of the law enforcement community that have risked or sacrificed their lives to protect us from the ravages of drugs.
Craigs comments can be found at the following site: http://www.cinecon.com/news.php?id=0505101 |

Mai 2008 an. |
