Offenbar steht EA kurz vor der Übernahme von PopCap, den Machern von Plants vs. Zombies. Die Verhandlungen sollen weit fortgeschritten sein und der Kaufpreis soll bei rund einer Milliarde Dollar liegen:
Wenn es dabei bleibt, darf sich PvZ in die traurige Tradition ramponierter Marken à la C&C einreihen. Na dann freuen wir uns alle mal auf PvZ 2012, 2013, 2014, ...The high price of the deal ($1+ billion) means that this would be a huge bet for EA were talking over 13% of the companys market cap. But were hearing that this is a Hail Mary pass from EA to break into mobile and social gaming areas where the company hasnt done nearly as well as it has in the console arena.
