Derzeit in Interview-Laune gibt sich Tim Willits, Lead Designer von Rage, nochmal die Ehre und äußert sich zum Aufkauf durch ZeniMax:

I can tell you that, having the resources and upper management, they've really allowed us to do stuff with RAGE that frankly we may not have been able to in the past. I truly believe that, ultimately, RAGE has become a better game because of this new relationship that we have.

Ich seh das immer noch kritisch. Weiterhin ist Rage ähnlich Star Wars als eine mehrteilige Serie ausgelegt:

When the game ends, it's has a complete ending. But, like Star Wars, there's always things that can go in different directions. We felt that new technology, new IP, let's build a universe that really allows us to do some very creative, fascinating things.

There's a number of things that the guys come up with, they're like, "Oh, I want to do this!" I'm like, "RAGE 2!" [laughter]
