- The beta is build up of the multiplayer from the running beta tests back then with approx. 5,000 participants. Version 1 features three modes (Assault, FFA, TDM) and three maps (Airstrip, Monkeybay, Radio). There are various weapons and vehicles (Buggy, Patrolboat). New in version 2 is the map "Dune".
- You can host multiplayer games by yourself and play via Internet and not only limit on LAN only:
The host just starts a normal LAN game. All others are opening the console (with "^") and enter this:
"\connect XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX"
Of course without the " and mind the "\" at the beginning! XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is replaced by the IP address of the host who has started the game! Tip: The backslash "\" is typed in with CTRL+ALT+ß!
- There are ways to join dedicated servers and even the official beta test servers. Be aware, you are not necessary welcome regarding the latter...
Anyway use this tool to generate an online server listing.
